KG Industries was formerly KalGard Coating and Manufacturing Corporation. KalGard was founded to provide dry film lubricants and thin film protective coatings to Government and Industry. KalGard became known for developing one strong product after another, and became a major supplier of wet and dry film lubricants, and protective thin film coatings to Aerospace and Military concerns. KalGard became the leader in developing products for the Motorcycle, Firearms and Automotive markets. For many years KalGard was considered the standard to compete against. In 1992 KalGard Coating and Manufacturing Corporation changed its name to KG Industries, Inc. KG Industries now manufactures the original Gun Kote formulas, a fine line of gun care products, a new line of Micro PTFE Lubricants as well as developing custom coatings for a continually growing OEM market.
