Lilja Precision Rifle Barrels, Inc. was started in 1985 by Daniel Lilja as a result of his interest in benchrest rifles. Dan has been an active benchrest shooter since the mid 1970s and has an industrial engineering and machinist toolmaker background. He enjoys shooting at benchrest matches and has won and placed well at national level matches over the years. He and his family also enjoy big game and varmint hunting. Dan is also a volunteer Hunter Safety Instructor in Montana and is a Boy Scout merit badge counselor for wilderness survival and aviation. Lilja Rifle Barrels also sponsors a scholarship for local high school seniors.
