The Westerly, Rhode Island area from Watch Hill to Charlestown Breachway is great for surf casting with plugs or live bait. On about any tide you’ll catch nice Bass and Blues with an occasional Albacore or Bonita when they come in chasing the bait. Point Judith hails great places to charter trips for giant Striped Bass or the usually available Blues or Fluke. Nothing gets our adrenalin pumping more than to take a charter to the Canyon for the elusive king of the East Coast, the Giant Tuna.
