Raindance Lures in Recreation Directory

On April 15th of 1995 Captain Allen obtained his USCG License and formed Raindance Charters. Within a month the Salmon and Trout fishing charter service on Lake Ontario was clearly a success and the bookings were coming on a daily basis. We were using many different types of trolling spoons but we found ourselves using only a dozen or so hot ones out of the hundreds that we had in our tackle boxes. These were the ones that worked and worked consistently. Sometimes, though, if we had a break off or one simply wore out, it was difficult to locate replacements at the various tackle shops when we needed them. We decided that if we became our own lure provider then we wouldnt have to depend on others to provide us with those special spoons. This is how Raindance Lures began. We already knew the colors and styles that were the most productive, so we did our homework and tested many different painting techniques until we came up with one that proved to hold up under the extremely harsh conditions that they are subjected to, especially on a fishing charter. At this point we started manufacturing our own. We knew first hand what worked and what didnt and the rest is history. Weve been in business ever since and the way things are going, it looks like well be around for a good while longer.
