I began making miniatures in 1975. My love of antiques and all the wonderful smalls that one comes across in the antique marketplace here in New England was the inspiration for my miniatures. All of my pieces have been thoroughly researched and carefully crafted in 1 = 1 scale. I am extremely grateful to the Shakers of Sabbathday Lake, Maine, who graciously allowed me to measure and match paint on so many of their special pieces. My Shaker collection includes pieces from the Hancock and Canterbury Shakers as well.
