Wheels began in 1985 as a partnership between Ashley Wakelin and Rob Paramor. Both were railway and bus enthusiasts with a history in the transport industry and in tourism and corporate entertainment spanning many years. They remembered the good old fashioned days of British transport and travel and wanted to create something which would evoke some of this nostalgia and excitement. And so Wheels was born. Over the years WHEELS has evolved to encompass other transport related projects, including specialising in Vintage Bus, Classic Coach and Wheelchair accessible Coach Hire which were always part of the original Wheels concept. Almost by fate, developments in this direction progressed a couple of years ago when within a two year period we bought Midland Red Coaches a super name and perfectly fitting in with our operations, We have since obtained two vehicles complimenting the Midland Red title, namely the ex Midland Red North vintage Charabanc , the fabulous BMMO D9 double decker which we had been trying to obtain for five years, and S23 service buses.
